A number of senior students of Presentation Secondary School, Listowel, explored ‘Celtic Revival’ Plasterwork in Listowel. Over the course of two workshops they learned about the Celtic Revival in late nineteenth and early twentieth century Ireland. They then designed and created their very own Celtic-inspired Cast Plaster plaques, taking inspiration from a modern Listowel, its culture and heritage. An exhibition of their beautiful work was held at St. John’s Theatre, Listowel, during the month of October and opened by President of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society, Tony Bergin.
